About Me
Hello! I am Jesse Kennedy, and I am teaching high school English as a Second Language and Pre-IB English for the 2014-2015 academic year.
My wife, Lucy, (along with our little Pomeranian fur baby, Meimei) and I moved to Shanghai and Qibao Dwight High School from Shijiazhuang, Hebei, PRC where we lived for two years. Overall, this will be my sixth year of teaching in China, and I am still in love with my surroundings and learn something new everyday. Before embarking on my adventure to China, I taught for two years in the great state of Alabama, where I was born and raised a Southern gentleman!
I got my bachelors and master's degree in secondary English education at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, and I currently hold a secondary teaching licensure in English/language arts (grades 6-12). After teaching for a couple of years, I left the USA for China and decided to add-on a graduate certificate in ESL education at Shenandoah University. I am currently seeking licensure in Speech Language Pathology at Eastern New Mexico University.
